A few words
Dimitra Zarzouki
Combining the two great loves of her life, dance and travel, began to create some highly aesthetic art.
She started her dancing career at a young age, in Greek taverns and bouzoukia, and after she reached adulthood, she started creating art with her dance.
Born in Greece, a country where Eastern and Western cultures coexist, Dimitra included elements of East and West in her dance, uniting the emotion of the former with the philosophy of the latter.
”Fertile imagination comes from inspiration, and inspiration is found everywhere around us. All what is needed is to see the world with love.”
“If you let your emotions guide you, you will be united with the purpose of your life’

Seduced by the myth of Orientalism, she reflects on the female figure as the protagonist of her art and explores the boundaries that separate myth from reality.
At the same time, she begins to deal with the history, tradition and customs of each place and race that meets the specific dance and thus, a new journey begins!
